The Daily Bloop: Packing up Baby clothes

I finally got all her old clothes perfectly packed away! I put each size of clothes in vacuum sealed bags and then I used my cricut to make labels for each bag. Then I slide all the bags into a large plastic bin. It was so rewarding to have everything from newborn to 6 months all packed away perfectly. I tried two different brands of bags and the dollar tree bags work just as well as the other more expensive brand.  I wonder if I can put links to my baby cricut projects on here so if someone wanted to use them they could. I guess I'll have to ask my husband who is more technologically advanced then I am.

The Daily Bloop: Anxiety with Solids

I was really confident in my ability to feed me baby and she does so well but the other day she started to choke and now when she is eating I feel more anxious then I did before. It's hard to watch but letting her learn feed herself will give her the ability to learn without me holding her back and I feel like she is so independent that it would be wrong to deny her the ability to explore the foods herself.

Starting Solids: The First Week

I started solids a few days before June was officially 6 months. I have a belief that babies should be allowed to explore foods in a natural, but safe way. So we arent using purees as her first foods. Not to say I don't plan on making some purees for on the go foods later on, but every thing I make is cooked and cut to be safely eaten by a baby and to minimize the risk of chocking. I've heard this method of feeding called Baby Led Weaning. I don't really care much for labels but I've used that phrase when doing a lot of my research on safely cooking the foods. Day one: We started her off with a banana cut in half with the peel only half removed so she could hold it better. We did banana for the first three days to see if she would be allergic. Day 2: We had a banana for breakfast and then introduced baby oatmeal for dinner. She loved being able to play with the spoon. She of course had more oatmeal on her and the high chair than had even touched her mouth. Day 3: We did...

The Daily Bloop: Hiatus

Well I took a hiatus from my Blog. I've been really trying to get myself back together. After the C-section and having such a horrible time with breastfeeding, and the sad fact that I've actually gained weight since having my daughter, I've been on the unhappy with myself and I thought I needed some time away from my Blog. I feel now that I should have just put more into it instead.  My sweet June had finally reached six months and with it came so many exciting things. First off she sits alone! Secondly we started solids, and best of all She has tooths! It started as just one and now there is a second. I can't believe she will have teeth soon. (They are still just poking through) I've also started a journey into my better self. I after all need to be better for not just myself but for my June. I'm starting to actively think about everything I'm eating. I feel like getting on a diet that works for my PCOS will really help me.
