Jules and June

Today was Sprinkles last visit until next year! We are gonna miss him dearly. But his departure means Santa will be coming tonight! 

Today Sprinkles and the Starbucks Bears are having a cupcake party in preparation for Christmas Eve!

June broke Santa's Sleigh so Sprinkles is trying to fix it so it will be ready for Christmas!

Today Sprinkles wanted to go to on a Target run with June! 

Today Sprinkles got excited to show June her new get ready area! She used to just have a chair and a hook to hang her coat but now it's a whole station with a mirror, her shoes, winter gear and bows!  

Sprinkles has gone fishing today! 

Today Sprinkles wants June to join his band! Let hope she doesn't want to play the drums. ☺️

June's snacks must be protected at all cost. Will Sprinkles be able to nab some snacks or will the little friends keep them safe. Tune in next week to find out!

Today we found our friends guarding our morning snack. Unfortunately we also saw Sprinkles trying to steal them! 

Today we found Sprinkles waiting for us to cuddle up with some snacks and watch some Tangled! 

Well I have honestly really enjoyed doing elf on the shelf but man is it tedious sometimes. Some nights I just forget since my only free time is after June goes down. I usually have many tasks I've planned for myself to do around the house and after them I generally am so tired the last thing I'm thinking about is where Sprinkles will appear next. So when I don't remember to put him out for her to find in the morning, we just do it after one of her naps or she finds him around bedtime.  Honestly I think she enjoys him no matter when he appears. I did somethings differently than most mom's. I just don't believe in the idea of telling her he is a spy for Santa and that she can't touch him or his magic is lost. Instead she finds him and then gives him to me so we can set him back by our tree. I think this way it will be more fun for my family. The idea of a spy is just not in our parenting style. 

Today we found Sprinkles and Philip sledding down pillow hill! June really enjoyed seeing him in mommy's reindeer slipper.

Found Sprinkles climbing the tree! He was almost to the top when we found him. We also found two bluey ornaments on the tree! 

Today we found Sprinkles and friends reading all of our favorite books! 

Sprinkles has out done himself today. He scribbled and then wrote "Sprinkles Rules" on the table. June loved finding him with her crayons. 

We found Dino pulling Sprinkles in the sleigh. He appears to be transporting her babies bottle! June walked up and snatched back her babies bottle then proceeded to steal the sleigh 😂

Today we found a trail of June's puffs into her tent where we found Sprinkles hoarding her snacks away all for himself! June enjoyed the snack trail, she happily munched her way to Sprinkles hideout.

Tonight we found Sprinkles in bed reading our book, using our pacifier, and wearing our slippers !

Sprinkles was up to all kinds of shenanigans which obviously led him to being detained by our dino friend.

We don't know what Sprinkles did to upset the Heeler Family but they came armed and ready to push Sprinkles off the table. June likes this one a lot, she was very excited about Bluey with a qtips!

This morning we found Sprinkles trying to peak in June's gift from St. Nick. What a naughty elf! June was super excited to see Sprinkles again! And she loved her new Christmas book and jammies!

Today Sprinkles didn't show up until bedtime to remind June to brush her teeth! He had me tell her how important keeping your teeth clean is for a pretty smile!

Today Sprinkles zip lined down to see June. She absolutely loved seeing him slide down the Zipline!

Today Sprinkles got himself some coffee and stole June's train on a coffee high. He did a test drive while pulling her favorite bird friends around on her new table and chairs!!

Today June found Sprinkles trying to play with her toys! He knocked over her tower, used her blocks to spell his name, and he was trying to fit the star in the wrong hole. Silly Sprinkles!  I'm super glad we are doing this tradition. June seems to really enjoy seeing him. However she does also like to grab him. So after she finds him I generally put him in his spot next to the stockings.

I started off the holiday season by introducing our elf Sprinkles to June! Sprinkles brought June an offering of some mini marshmallows! June very much enjoyed meeting Sprinkles but wasn't interested in the marshmallows at all! June will hopefully enjoy seeing his shenanigans everyday until Christmas! 

Hi all! I'm going to start making posts daily about June's first real year of our Elf on the shelf! Hopefully it will give some people ideas later for there own elves!  Our little guys name is Sprinkles and we actually got him last year but I only did some days since last year when the season came around I had a newborn and I was still getting the hang of being a mom. Plus June wasn't really gonna get a kick out of the elf yet!
