Must haves for the Breastfeeding Momma

I only breastfed for the first 3 months of my daughters life. I wanted to breastfeed until she wanted to wrap herself but my body had other plans. By her 3rd month I was only able to pump 6 oz a day and she would only latch a few times a day if I was lucky. However these are the things that I couldn't have gone without and that I plan to use with my next baby.

1. Hakka: it is so convenient for collecting the milk from your opposite boob while feeding. I was losing anywhere from 1-2oz of milk every feed until I bought this. I don't recommend it as an alternative to a regular pump though. It only collects so much I don't feel like it really empties your boob. It's more for collecting the extra and helping with engorgement.

2.Bamboobies: Best decision I made. I was going through so many breast pads everyday. I really felt like I needed to change them every feed and I hated how much work they were. I had to unwrap them and then stick them on my bra all while still holding a baby. So I bought these reusable ones and it was a total game changer. I liked being able to just stick in right in my bra no packaging, no fuss with sticking them on. I really loved the nightie ones because I stopped waking up with so much milk on my shirts.

3. Zip top silicone breastmilk bags: if you are anything like me, you aren't a big fan of plastic in the first place, but God using plastic bags to store my babies milk sounded less than optimal. So I found these and I loved them. I wish I'd seen the bigger pack that also comes with the storage container for the freezer.

4. Auden Seamless Nursing Bras: I love them and still wear them even 6 months after I quit breastfeeding. They are easy to use and sorry comfortable to wear. You can get a 2 pack of them for about $20 at Target. I tried multiple other nurturing bras but these were by far my favorite.

5. Boppy: not only was it super wonderful to use for breastfeeding but it has also been great as she is growing. We've used it to prop her to play, for photoshoots, and for tummy time.

Funny of the Day

Every night my daughter asks for warm milk at bed and when my husband brings it in she always says it's too hot, so he adds an ice cube and brings it back. Tonight he didn't even hand it to her and she said "it's hot" and so he tells her he already added the ice cube but she refused to take it until he left the room and came back with it. 🤣🤣
