Broccoli Cheddar Quinoa Bites (BLW friendly)

1 cup quinoa (uncooked) 2 cups of water 1 raw broccoli crown 1 cup of cheddar cheese 1/3 of a block of cream cheese  First I preheat the oven to 350. I personally have only cooked quinoa in my Instantpot but you can also cook it on the stove. I start by taking the 1 cup of uncooked quinoa and putting it in my instantpot with 2 cups of water. (Quinoa is always a 1:2 ratio with water) Cook on high pressure for 3 mins then naturally release for 10 mins. Now using a food processor I chop the broccoli, I only use the very top and leave out the main stem. To form the balls I start with the cooked quinoa in a large bowl, then I add the finely chopped raw broccoli, and lastly I add the two cheeses and mix it all together. After this I ball them up and pat them down and put them all in a 9x13 glass pan. Then cook them for 25-30 mins.  They are absolutely delicious and easy to use for baby led weaning as well as a snack for toddlers and even adults!

Our Journey to find the right Sippy Cup!

Over the last 3 months I have tried various different cups with my daughter and here is my review of all the ones we've tried so far.  1. Nuby https://www.target.com/p/munchkin-click-lock-weighted-straw-trainer-cup-7oz-pink/-/A-79770068 This is the first one we tried and she seemed to like it at first, however I soon realized she wouldn't actually drink or of it. She really just liked chewing on the spout. It was however a good cup, it never leaked, and it was easy to clean. If honestly recommend this cup to anyone who wants a traditional sippy cup. 2. Munchkin https://www.target.com/p/munchkin-click-lock-weighted-straw-trainer-cup-7oz-pink/-/A-79770068 After I realized she wasn't a super fan of using a traditional sippy cup we tried this one. We soon realized it was our favorite, well that's until she started throwing her cups. Then it turned out the more she threw it the worse it got. First the inner straw piece would pop out of place causing i...

Must haves for the Breastfeeding Momma

I only breastfed for the first 3 months of my daughters life. I wanted to breastfeed until she wanted to wrap herself but my body had other plans. By her 3rd month I was only able to pump 6 oz a day and she would only latch a few times a day if I was lucky. However these are the things that I couldn't have gone without and that I plan to use with my next baby.  1. Hakka: it is so convenient for collecting the milk from your opposite boob while feeding. I was losing anywhere from 1-2oz of milk every feed until I bought this. I don't recommend it as an alternative to a regular pump though. It only collects so much I don't feel like it really empties your boob. It's more for collecting the extra and helping with engorgement. 2.Bamboobies: Best decision I made. I was going through so many breast pads everyday. I really felt like I needed to change them every feed and I hated how much work they were. I had to unwrap them and then stick them on my bra all while still holding ...

Solids: Bananas

Banana was actually the first food I tired with June and it was a really good first food. I started by cutting the banana in half and then cutting off half the peel so she still had something to hold onto while eating the actual banana. I usually make sure the banana isn't too ripe so it's not too squishy or too sweet.
